Beach Breeze Services Weather Policy
At Beach Breeze Services, safety is our top priority. Coastal weather conditions can change rapidly and may impact our ability to safely operate. Certain weather events are considered force majeure events (events outside of our reasonable control) and may require service delays, adjustments, or cancellations.
All weather-related decisions are made with the safety of our guests, employees, and equipment in mind.
Please note that weather-related service adjustments or cancellations may still occur on sunny days. Unsafe conditions are not determined by sunshine alone and may be caused by wind, thunderstorms, high tides, flooding, extreme heat, or other changing weather conditions.
The following conditions may require service delays, adjustments, or cancellations:
Approximately 22+ MPH sustained winds and/or approximately 30+ MPH wind gusts
Gale warnings
Consistent rain throughout the day, even if light
Prolonged periods of heavy rain
Thunderstorms
Lightning
Exceptionally high tides
Flooding
Extreme heat
Any other unsafe operating conditions determined solely by Beach Breeze Services
Please note: Wind speeds and weather conditions can vary significantly by location, time of day, and weather source. Even areas within walking distance of one another may experience different conditions due to wind direction, airflow patterns, dunes, homes, vegetation, and other surrounding obstructions. Simply standing on the beach and feeling the wind may not accurately represent conditions across the entire beach or throughout the day. Beach Breeze Services monitors multiple trusted forecasting tools and on-site observations when making operational decisions. Weather decisions are not based solely on individual weather apps, forecasts, or observations from a single location.
Understanding Weather Conditions
Rain: Rain alone does not automatically result in a cancellation. However, consistent rain throughout the day, even if light, prolonged periods of heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, flooding, or any weather conditions that create unsafe operating conditions may require service delays, adjustments, or cancellations.
Wind: Some days may experience brief wind gusts that quickly pass, while others involve sustained high winds. Our decisions are based on the duration, consistency, and overall safety of the conditions—not simply the highest recorded wind speed.
Thunderstorms: Thunderstorm winds are especially hazardous because they can develop suddenly and with extreme force, even if conditions were previously calm.
Extreme Heat: Excessive heat and humidity can create unsafe working conditions, particularly when carrying and installing heavy equipment across sand. In rare circumstances, Beach Breeze Services may delay, modify, or cancel services when temperatures or heat index values reach dangerous levels (approximately 100°F or greater) to prioritize the safety of our customers, employees, and equipment.
Other Beach Setups: You may still see personal beach setups from other beachgoers during these conditions. Beach Breeze Services must follow its own safety and liability policies, and our decisions may differ from those of individual beachgoers.
Equipment Safety: Please never attempt to move, adjust, secure, relocate, or otherwise handle any equipment during adverse weather conditions. Our team is trained to safely manage equipment, and outside interference may increase the risk of injury or damage.
Service Adjustments
Full-Day Cancellations
Services may be canceled if adverse weather is forecasted to impact, or is actively impacting, the majority of your booked service day.
Once a full-day cancellation has been communicated, services for that day will remain canceled. Even if weather conditions improve later in the day, Beach Breeze Services is unable to resume or provide setup services after a cancellation has been issued due to staffing, scheduling, and operational logistics.
Delayed Setups & Early Takedowns
Weather conditions may require delayed setups, temporary removals, or early takedowns during any portion of the day.
If any service is provided during the day, the reservation will remain a full-day charge.
Equipment Availability During Inclement Weather
During periods of inclement weather, we are unable to substitute reservations with different setups (such as switching to a Shibumi Package) due to equipment availability and existing reservations. All equipment is reserved and allocated in advance.
Refund Requests
If Beach Breeze Services cancels an entire day of service before setup due to weather, guests who booked directly through Beach Breeze Services may request a refund for that canceled day (by text, call, or email). Refunds are not automatically issued and must be requested by the guest.
Once equipment has been set up, the service has been rendered. If weather conditions later worsen—including sustained winds exceeding approximately 27 MPH, gale warnings being issued, or equipment malfunctioning due to increasing wind conditions—refunds will not be provided.
Communication
Weather-related updates will be sent via text message as soon as possible.
Beach Breeze Services reserves the right to delay, modify, remove, or cancel services at any time when necessary to protect guests, employees, equipment, or property.
We are committed to providing an exceptional beach experience while always prioritizing the safety of our guests, employees, and equipment.

Shibumi Shades are designed to be quick and easy to set up! Simply connect the poles, thread the canopy through, and position the shade to match the wind direction so the canopy can properly fill with airflow. Once the poles are secured into the sand, the wind does the rest. For a full walkthrough, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JR3beN6QFgA

Spikeball is a team sport played by two teams of two players. Opposing teams line up across from each other with the Spikeball net in the center. The ball is put in play with a serve—a hit by the server from behind the service boundary into the net to an opposing player. Once the ball is served players can move anywhere they want. The object of the game is to hit the ball into the net so that the opposing team cannot return it. A team is allowed up to three touches to return the ball. The rally continues until the ball is not returned properly.
